About Us
The Mexican Surf and Skate Company is a 'global' business based in South Africa. Our core business focus is simply to promote extreme-sport, and to thereby have fun and interact with the person on the street or in the water, encouraging all to pursue their extreme-sport passions with fervour and distinction. Our brand, and associated products, are a means of expressing and representing the rich leisure-life that we embrace. The child or adult who purchases our product does so knowing that on their sleeve, or under their sole, is a product that epitomises the ideal of a true champion.
It would be an omission not to point the reader to our location: Port Elizabeth. It would suit our business profile to be J-Bay based, but as far as logistics and being closer to a commercial hub is concerned, we need to be P.E based. We have almost direct access to The Boardroom / Dennis Ellis, with whom we are associated in business, and we are in close proximity to the Port Elizabeth International Airport. Our spirit lives, however where the heart of Surfing South Africa lies – in J-Bay!
Our allegiance also lies with Mexico (for their namesake) which, any seasoned surfer knows, is also a top surfing destination. Places like the Sea of Cortes, Punta San Jose, Todos Santos Island (world famous for having some of the largest and most dangerous waves), Punta de Mita, Monumento at Cabo San Lucas, “El Morro”, Puerto Escondido, Pascuales, Colima, Ensenada, Baja California, Los Cabos and Los Barriles (kite surfing), we acknowledge and honour with utmost respect, when we use the name The Mexican Surf and Skate Company.
